Mbita, Kenya

Kenya, the cradle of humanity, is a country of beauty and diversity with many different cultures, religious affiliations and geographic regions. The city of Mbita lies on the eastern shore of Lake Victoria and will be our base of operation for this project. The area is remote and rustic, but residents here are open to the gospel and ready to experience God’s love. Most of the families in this area have lost loved ones to the AIDS virus. For women and children who have lost husbands and fathers, life’s journey becomes very difficult. Your team will work to build homes for widows and orphans. You will also be part of leading a Children’s Bible School and sharing God’s love through interactions in the community. Along with hard work, you will spend an exciting time on safari complete with animal viewing, shopping, and relaxing at Lake Nakuru.
