The Bold Adventure-By Mission Discovery

This is the mission trip of a lifetime!  6 months in 4 nations spanning 3 continents.  The experience is called "The Bold Adventure."

A six month mission trip that takes you half way around the world.Mission Discovery's Bold Adventure begins in Guatemala.  There in the small town of Antigua you'll attend Spanish language school in the morning then partner with missionaries in Antigua to teach street children to read and write.  Your language school and ministry experience in Antigua prepares you for your next stop Huancayo, Peru.  There you will partner with the Mission Society, live in a Quectua community, teach English in a local school, and lead children's activities.  After 3 weeks living among Quechua people, you'll move to a local hostel and continue your partnership and work alongside Mission Society missionaries working in the city.  After your week in Huancayo, you'll fly to Pucallpa, Peru where you will meet the staff of Off the Trails Missions.  Ministry there includes working in a senior center, leading feeding programs, distributing school supplies to neighborhood schools, and a possible overnight trip up the river to lead VBS or assist in a medical clinic. The month of May you fly to Port au Prince, Haiti.  There you will continue earthquake relief efforts in  partnership with New Life Children's Home.  You'll live and work with over 130 orphans, many with severe disabilities.  In the month of June you'll take a short flight from Port au Prince to Port de Paix, Haiti.  There, you'll live and work at Mission Discovery HOLD the Children Children's Home,  where 37 children make their home.  You'll work with our staff to assist in the daily running of the home, lead children's ministry outreaches and leave Haiti knowing you made a difference. Your Bold Adventure ends in a month-long partnership with Build the Future. You will live and work in the heart of Soweto.  There Phillip Shapiro and his staff lead outreaches in the community through Bible studies, feeding programs and children's ministry.  You'll end you time in South Africa with a Safari to Africa's Kruger Park....the perfect wrap-up before flying from Johannesburg to return to the United States.The cost includes all meals (except transit meals), all airfare, ground transportation, insurance, training and Kruger Park African Safari.Minimum age at departure-21 Maximum age at departure-28 Bold Adventure Itinerary:

• Antigua, Guatemala-Serve in a school for the poor, attend CSA Language School
• Huancayo, Peru-Partner with The Mission Society. Live among Quechua people
• Pucallpa, Peru-Partner with Off the Trails Mission. Serve the elderly and children
• Port au Prince, Haiti- Live and work at an orphanage
• Port de Paix, Haiti-Live and work at Mission Discovery HOLD the Children Orphanage
• Johannesburg, South Africa-Serve Build the Future and work in Soweto.
